TIM & ROD
Tim and Rod became some of the most-loved faces on Aussie television during The Amazing Race in 2019.
The newlyweds were victorious as they secured the first place title and won a whopping grand prize of $250,000 after a rigorous journey.
The couple stole the show with their vibrant, outgoing personalities, but it was their courage and creative energy that lead them to victory.
The boys have always been go-getters. Before their race around the world, they were smashing not only their relationship goals but also their life goals. Before the age of 30, the boys owned and operated a successful mortgage broker company and had bought their first house in Newcastle.
The couple made history as the first legally married gay couple to appear on Australian television, and the boys aim to be an inspiration to people around the world.
They understand the importance of failure and that sometimes you have to fail in order to succeed. Their failures allowed them to learn from their experiences and create a strategy to overcome and prevail.
It is their unparalleled ambition and passion for health and fitness that motivated them to become certified personal trainers. It's no wonder the two are in the best physical shape of their lives... definitely our fit-inspo.
Tim and Rod's success has been huge, and they credit their win to their solid teamwork, exceptional communication, and steadfast confidence.
The guys have many exciting television projects in the works that will be coming soon. In the meantime, they are hitting the road with their interactive team building program to bring inspiration to Aussie businesses.
Get to know Rod (28):
What excites you most about traveling?
Getting away from the normal and experience how others live. Also not knowing what the next day will bring. I love the spontaneity of traveling.
What do you think will be your biggest advantage or strength in the race?
We are in the fittest state of our lives. We rarely argue and are both normally extremely positive likable people, which we think will put us at the front of the pack.
What’s the best part of travelling with your teammate?
It’s so easy. We have the same likes and interests and rarely get on each other’s nerves.
Get to know Tim (29):
What is the biggest challenge or weakness you’ll need to overcome?
Definitely the gross eating challenges would be a struggle, however I’d give it my best shot. I thrive on adrenaline but would still be very scared if we needed to bungee jump or sky dive.
What type of people do you find it difficult to get along with?
I struggle to get along with arrogant and cocky people, who think they’re better than everyone else. I’m not the biggest fan of ingenuine people who are fake and don’t take other people’s feelings into consideration.
What is your proudest achievement in life?
My proudest moment in life was when I married the man of my dreams, on my favourite beach in the world, in front of all my family and friends. I was able to truly be myself and it was the greatest feeling in the world.
