Newcastle born and raised, Ricci’s ambitious nature drove him to leave home at the age of 17 and follow his passion to London where he trained as a hairdresser! Learning from the best, Toni Mascolo of the famous ‘Toni & Guy’ powerhouse. Ricci soon opened his own salon in Newcastle and made a huge success of it ... that was until a reality TV career came a knocking!
After selling shop, then 22-year-old Ricci entered the Geordie Shore house to record-breaking premier ratings – a clear indication that Ricci had huge pulling power with the MTV demographic. As part of one of MTV’s most successful TV shows to date, Geordie Shore’s reach extends to well over 1,000,000 viewers in the UK, and smashed it's competitors upon debut in international markets. After filming at international locations including Cancun and Europe, Ricci called it quits and focused on other TV projects.
Fresh from his success on Geordie Shore Ricci signed on for a brand new MTV series Ex on the Beach. Proving to be yet another ratings winner for MTV; Ricci’s on again off again relationship with ex-fiancé and fiery former co-star Vicky Pattison took centre stage.
Never slowing the self-professed ladies man switched the beach for the Big Brother house in 2014. Starring in the 14th series of UK’s Celebrity Big Brother Ricci’s charms and chiseled abs saw him enjoy 24 days of the 26 day cycle.
2015 saw Ricci's big screen debut. Staring in feature film 'Road' was not an obvious career progression for Ricci but his initial cameo turned into a key role as he discovered his love of acting and his natural ability. Something he continued to nurture while maintaining a foothold in reality TV, including ITV’s ‘Celebrity Dinner Date’!
Always a hit with Australian audiences Ricci relocated down under in 2016 and took on hosting roles with MTV Australia and Kiis FM's powerhouse 'The Kyle & Jackie O Show'! Always up for fun Ricci was a breath of fresh air and delivered quirky and outrageous content
Taking advantage of his time in Australia, Ricci toured the country making over 100 personal appearances at venues nationwide. He even popped back up in the Geordie Shore house as part of the 'Big Birthday Bash' season.
Stepping into 2017 Ricci began filming for 'Universal Pictures' film 'Boar'! His growing drive for the film industry saw him attend premieres and conventions across the globe to promote the Aussie horror in 2018. Heading up the Brussels International Film Festival with the movies director, Ricci is now forging a career in the industry he loves while staying true to his reality roots.
