Grammy Nominated singer-songwriter, actress, former Pussycat Doll &  Winner of the "Masked Singer".

Trailblazing comes second nature for Melody Thornton. She’s gone from being a key member of multi-platinum selling pop juggernaut The Pussycat Dolls, to a fascinating and fabulous solo career completely on her own terms. Rather than sticking to the script, she continues to challenge both herself and the environment around her.

At just 19-years-old she went from turning heads at talent shows in her native Arizona, to joining one of the most celebrated girl groups/dance ensembles of all time, the long established Los Angeles dance troupe turned global phenomenon, The Pussycat Dolls. She stunned the band’s management at her first audition with her fantastic voice allied to her obvious innate understanding of what being a Pussycat Doll meant. From arriving with 200 girls at that first audition later that day she joined the band.

The youngest member of the group, Melody was affectionately given the nickname ‘Baby Doll.’ Collaborating with some of the biggest names in hip hop and R&B the group enjoyed mega success with hits ‘Buttons’ featuring Snoop Dogg, and the worldwide number one classic ‘Don’t Cha’ with Busta Rhymes, which became the highest selling track by any girl group.

Selling over 70 million albums around the world, the Dolls reached every inch of the globe, after receiving copious Grammy nominations and winning multiple VMA awards, they were honoured by being named in VH1’s Greatest Women in Music.

Hollywood soon called, with the ensembles music featuring in cinematic blockbusters, Slumdog Millionaire and Shark Tale. Branding out, the PCD re-recorded ‘Don’t Cha’ for video game, The Sims 2, as well as appearing in, Asphalt: Urban GT 2.

Proving their pulling power wasn’t limited to the stage, the girls imprinted their names in the world of fashion and beauty designing their own make up collection with Estee Lauder under the Stila brand, as well as producing a line of burlesque Doll inspired lingerie.

The quintet went on hiatus in 2010, but Melody’s journey had only just begun. Her first mixtape P.O.Y.B.L hit in 2012, and it immediately began to turn heads with her impressive range and powerful delivery, a combination of sass and savoir fare culled from her years on stage driving rave reviews.

Proving no one puts Baby in a corner, Melody is much more than just a Doll, and this Pussycat has claws! Melody hit the UK in January 2017 to take part in the second series of E4’s smash hit Celebs Go Dating and in the second quarter of the year appeared on Celebrity Juice and In Bed With Jamie.

Melody’s over sharing “potty mouth“ means she has been a huge success with viewers. She went on to brace the hit Channel 4 show The Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls, showing the UK audience that she wasn’t someone to mess with.

With the quality of her vocal range, she landed the lead role in the stage version of The Bodyguard, and went on tour, including spending six months in China, again to rave reviews.

Returning to the UK in autumn 2018 she joined the cast of the ITV1 flagship show Dancing on Ice, reaching the final three and being widely accepted as the best amateur skater in the show.

Most recently Melody has been touring the UK in the West End smash hit Rip it Up the 70s, celebrating the music of the decade. Now returning with brand new music, Melody continues her journey at the very top of the entertainment landscape.
